PAROL MAKING CONTEST 2012

Theme: "Jesus is the reason, to celebrate the season!"



Entry Rules & Regulations:

  1. Parol making is assigned to Grade 2-6.
  2. Each level is limited to one entry.
  3. All entries must be newly created and original artwork of the class.
  4. Parol dimensions are a minimum of 2 feet height/2 feet wide/ 3 inches deep.
  5. The use of indigenous and/ or recycled materials is highly encouraged.
  6. Entries will be Judge on the following criteria:
Originality              -                              30%
Artistic Skill           -                              25%
Creativity               -                             25%
Proper use of recycle material   -   20%
      7.   All entries should be submitted on or before 1:00 P.M on December 7, 2012. Judge will follow @ 3:00 P.M.
      8.   The school will give cash prize for the grand winner and 3 consolation prizes.
      9.   Some outputs will be selected and may become a Dominican School property for future use in publication and will not be returned.

  3. It will be place inside their classroom.
  4. All entries must be newly created and original artwork of the class.
  5. Miniature dimensions are a minimum of 1 foot in height.
  6. The use of indigenous and/ or recycled materials is highly encouraged.
  7. Entries will be Judge on the following criteria:
Originality              -                              30%
Artistic Skill           -                              25%
Creativity               -                             25%
Proper use of recycle material   -   20%

  1. Open to all students from Grade 1 - Grade 10.
  2. Participants are limited to one entry.
  3. 3 winners will be selected under each category.
  4. All entries must be newly created and original artwork of the owner.
  5. Entries violating on the intellectual property rights shall be automatically disqualified.
  6. Christmas card size is accepted only on 8.5 x 11-inch sheet of paper in any kind.
  7. Entries must be recycled materials.
  8. Contestant must submit a completed entry form with the artwork to the secretary's office.
  9. Entries should be based on the theme, "Jesus is the reason, to celebrate the season!"
  10. Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
Originality ---------------------------------------- 30%
Artistic Skill -------------------------------------- 20%
Creativity ---------------------------------------- 20%
Properly used of recycled materials ---------- 15%
Adherence to the theme and rules ----------- 15%
